Nekochief addresses the issue of the rapidly declining population of our native birds that can be found now where else in the world. As almost half of New Zealanders are cat owners, my project uses communication design to engage and encourage them to create a positive impact in conservation. Nekochief transforms beloved cats into fashion icons and conservation heroes. Not all heroes wear capes - they wear Nekochief!
