Women live longer, earn less and know less about money.
Financial literacy is an essential part of our everyday lives and impacts greatly on our mental health. In one New Zealand study, women scored an average of 54% in a financial literacy test while men scored an average of 70%.
The flock is an app specifically for young women, to educate them on the basics of money and give techniques and confidence to help achieve their financial goals. Through human-centred design, the flock empowers women to take control of their finances and learn more about financial concepts. The flock addresses common barriers and eases them into more complex concepts by making information accessible and creating a like-minded community of women–a flock.
