Playing around with my great grandfather’s wooden knife one day, I started to wonder why it was significant enough to pass down the generations. I started a conversation with my grandfather and realised there was more to him than just being my ‘Gramps’. His everyday belongings held sentimental stories and I wondered - how could I personally explore this? To this end I have created an emotive editorial project that captures my gramps’ personal history.
