Based on the proverbial saying "Waste not want not" If we dont waste what we have, well still have it in the future and will not lack (want) it.
Wastenot is an app designed to help raise awareness about the users food behaviour and its monetary cost over time, as well as stimulate them to prevent waste behaviour. The app encourages users to use the receipt scanner to obtain the ingredients data into the inventory and expiration date feature. Showing users how much they are wasting per month is a great way to raise awareness about their current food waste behaviour and will hopefully prompt them to take interest and initiative into learning how to reduce their food waste.
