It’s Complicated, is a collection of digitally printed reimagined Tivaevae, inspired by the contemporary Pasifika experience. Each individual Tivaevae is inspired by a member of the Pasifika community who I have grown up with, and aims to represent each persons unique hybrid identity from a decolonised perspective.
This collection was further inspired by Ka Mua, Ka muri (walking backwards into the future) and addresses the role of technology in telling stories through Pasifika art and design.
