Machine Ensemble is an autonomous MIDI controlled electro-acoustic system, designed to explore both the creative potential of machine based musical composition and performance, and the audience’s perception of the role of performer. I became interested in this concept of "anti-social" performance as I started to move from just playing an acoustic instrument, to using a laptop to create music which lead me to question my own role as a musician/performer.
