Arrived

Forget the stress, not your keys. "Arrived" enhances the entranceway by creating ambience and a sense of welcome via a sensor-enabled, interactive light. It alleviates the stress of forgetting your items when leaving home with a gentle illuminated reminder from "Arrived".

This project aims to explore emotion, experience, and sustainability while enriching the domestic ritual around entering and leaving home.

Through investigation and research into homeowners entranceways, the main frustration became apparent when people kept forgetting their essentials when entering and leaving the home. The entranceway space became cluttered, which no longer made it feel welcoming for visitors. This lead me in the direction of designing for experience, convenience, safety and sustainability.
