Knetting explores my fascination with the ritual of fungi and mushroom foraging. I find the experience of watching a mushroom grow in the forest over a weekend of rain enriching and cathartic. In the video I wear a garment inspired by the gills of an Amanita Muscaria mushroom, knotting a tapestry similar to the skirt of a Phallus Indusiatus. As I weave, creating a map of fibres connecting the trees together, I share this meditative experience with the viewer.
