The Prescription Attire collection is inspired by the effects mental health has on the way people dress. Disordered thoughts can deconstruct and reorder fashion’s genres and gender biases. The focus was Bipolar Affective Disorder, and each look moves though the spectrum of affective associated moods - from Depression to Mania and Psychosis. It also draws attention to how this industry, and its “rapid cycling” of fashion may be viewed as an affective mood disorder, also adversely affecting the mental health of its most creative luminaries.
