My Jeans *Genes is a critical work of remembrance, providing new forms of encountering memory and possibilities for solidarity in trauma aftermath. Our Identity is partly formed by ancestors, learning their experiences develops attitudes both publicly and personally. After learning I am Ashkenazi Jewish, and descendent of Holocaust victims, the continuity of traces of holocaust remembrance became crucial.  Our complex associations of family have implications in the present and future. Therefore by intentionally allowing continuity of my personal story in the event of devastating human suffering, it attempts to discourage ongoing political/ethical dilemmas.
