Beyond the Binary is a 20 min. documentary that showcases Non-Binary individuals openly experimenting with their identities within the security of their own home, which exists as a Safe Space for queerness. This documentary highlights one of the flat’s over-the-top parties to reflect how they invite others to openly celebrate their gender as well.
I am the Director, Producer and Editor of Beyond the Binary. The project presents a narrative that means a lot to me. In joining the project, I knew I wanted to create something that I would have found helpful as a resource when I was questioning my gender. I wanted to create something by queer people for queer people - specifically, positive representation.
